About KIND Conservatory
KIND Conservatory (Knowledge, Innovation, Nurturing, Dedication) is a youth-focused nonprofit music academy serving students across southeastern Idaho. We are a rapidly growing organization offering piano, strings, voice, guitar, and flute to over 60 students annually. Our programs include private instruction, recitals, competitions, ensembles, and community outreach.
Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic violinist and educator to serve as Head of the Violin Program. This leadership position is ideal for a passionate teacher eager to recruit and grow a violin program while working in close partnership with regional musical institutions.
The role includes opportunities to collaborate with the Idaho State-Civic Symphony and its Youth Symphony Program, providing students with access to high-level ensemble training and performance experiences.
Responsibilities
Teach private violin lessons to students of all ages and levels.
Recruit and retain students to expand the Conservatory’s violin program.
Lead violin-related activities (studio classes, chamber music coaching, recitals).
Collaborate with the Idaho State-Civic Symphony and Youth Symphony Program on educational and performance opportunities.
Mentor students for competitions, certificate programs, and auditions.
Contribute to program development in coordination with faculty and leadership.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Violin Performance, Pedagogy, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
Demonstrated excellence in both teaching and performance.
Strong recruiting ability and enthusiasm for building a program.
Leadership mindset and ability to work collaboratively with community partners.
